Here is a piece I made in the past when I was going through a very heartbreaking time. On the top you'll see the piece by itself and on the bottom you'll see how it looks after being matted and framed. I thought of this piece today because I am very, very sad. Tomorrow will be the anniversary of the last time I saw my dad alive and well (or so we thought) when he dropped us off at the airport. Thank goodness I hugged him and told him that I loved him that day. The next time I saw him he was in a coma and died 3 days later. Today would have been my parents 42nd wedding anniversary. Lots of emotions going on right now and the next few weeks are going to be really hard too. Thank goodness for chocolate...

Hey Beth, Beautiful art piece, and I'm so sorry about your dad. I've lost a few loved ones recently, including my beloved stepdad, so I feel your sorrow. Thanks for sharing such a personal piece of art. Your dad would be very proud of you and remember: He is a part of you, and so everything you create reflects a part of him. God bless!

Hi Beth! You were the absolute inspiration for my doll. I always love your dolls and am thouroughly inspired everytime you load one. Although I am trading it to Angie we both agreed we love your dolls! So anytime you think you might like a doll trade with me let me know! I love all you art and thanks for the well sought out kudos!
Oh I am so sorry about your dad. My mom is very sick in the hospital right now and I am so nervous about it. The day our parents die we are never really the same at being children again. That's what I have heard and that's what I believe must be true. I hope the child inside of you heals soon, and is able to have a light heart again. Hugs , Sanna

Your piece is beautiful. What a gift that you can turn the negative energy into something so positive. Anniversaries of deaths are always hard on the people left behind. I hope you can comfort your sorrow with loving and happy memories of your father.
